Friend took me to screening of HAMNET. Went home and listened to a podcast with author of the source novel Maggie O'Farrell. Then pulled up the Mel Gibson/Glenn Close HAMLET. Then SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE. Suddenly want to re-take the core Shakespeare course from college. That film got me like 🥴

If Los Angeles just had wide flat plazas at major intersections every couple of miles, like its soul yearns for culturally, there wouldn't be a need for much police tension and traffic warnings on a night like this. People would just gather when they felt they needed to.
