ICYMI: In Chicago, I found the city's population is about a third Latino/Hispanic, with Mexicans the largest group (73%), followed by Puerto Ricans. And in L.A., brown folks are almost half the population, with Mexicans largest (71%), followed by Salvadorans. www.latimes.com/food/story/2...

I remember the first time I visited Chicago I dropped by the National Museum of Mexican Art, walked over to a local market that was selling surprisingly legit Mexican food, and it was confusing to me because I kept thinking...how can this feel so familiar but be 1,700+ miles away from So Cal?
