Rogue Trader has virtually nothing timed. Time passes when you warp jump, but that's only for advancing colony development projects. You can bum around in act 2 as long as you want.

Cheetah claws are semi-retractable, because their primary use is for traction and speed rather than climbing and assault.

Cheetahs have an extremely low genetic diversity, being virtually clones of each other. This makes them super vulnerable to disease and mutations.

Cheetahs are basically horses of the cat-kind, in that they evolved towards speed to the detriment of everything else, and it's backfiring horribly. Except cheetahs have it even worse than horses, because they had two extinction events and are now horrifically inbred.

Most European cultures' folklore involves tales of the guile hero making a deal with the devil and then coming out on top.

It's a good read, but as a TTRPG campaign, I found it lacking. It suffers from the White Wolf problem, where the author just wanted to write a novel, and the players don't get to actually play.

Problem: "Chaos is a cognitohazard."
Imperium's solution: "Thinking is bad, everyone should be boneheaded, zealous, and ignorant."
It's interesting to come up with (morally) good answers which are not just "problem is fake and gay, we ignore it".

It's lame when Iconoclast can reject Imperium's cruelty by simply deciding to not be Chaos-corrupted. (I'm thinking of the Cultist Disguises in the plasma reactor on Rykad Minoris).

What annoys me about Iconoclast and the Tau is that they get to take one of the major problems that made Imperium what it is and just say "nah". Chaos is a cognitohazard. You can become a baby-eating Chaos worshipper just by wearing a Nurgle logo on your jacket.

Khazan devs wrote about this when they changed the difficulty names. People would rather refund the game than lower the difficulty to easy, and say: "I may not have beaten the game, but at least I didn't play it on Easy."

You can't stay down forever, but you stand up a bit faster if you press a movement key. But you can time your dodge to get the stand-up iframes to avoid an attack. I've had very few "can't get up" issues in my playthrough of Wuchang.

But boss fights in Elden Ring don't last more than a couple of minutes (outside low damage challenge runs). If you load during boss fight you spawn before the boss door.
If "save at any time" has to mean "absolutely any time", then virtually no game will pass this because cutscenes exist.
