I didn’t do a good job grabbing the whole image, but there is a 10th Atlanta player defending the ball offscreen. If it’s a “phase” issue, I’d also call BS on that but I should probably just move on with my day and not live in the past. It’s obviously done and dusted.

Yea, Twellman says something to that effect, he’s referring to Ronald Hernandez, #2, who is in the picture, top of the screen. There is no Atlanta defender outside the shot, watched it back multiple times to make sure there wasn’t another player out of shot.

I forget the X account that does the analysis. I’ve seen WAY closer calls overturned by VAR all the time with equally awful views. They just cherry pick when to be confident in overturning a call and when to say the view isn’t good enough.

Can’t MLS afford some imaginary lines?
