Palestinian statehood is not a bargaining chip.

It is not a threat.

It is an inalienable right of the Palestinian people.

Our demands on this shameful government remain the same: end all arms sales to Israel, impose widespread sanctions, and stop the genocide, now.

I brought some mics to work the other day and was lucky to record my colleagues coming up with some plosives 🗣🎙 "preposterous" was a good one

Strange sounds emanating from our lower strongroom...

We've been doing trial run throughs for audio recordings planned for next year (and taking full advantage of the cool archive temperatures)
A microphone stand set up in the far aisle of an archive strongroom. Acid-free archive boxes are on the shelves. A kickstool is in the aisle behind the stand.

📣ARTIST CALLOUT: Our artist development programme Changing Gear is back!
🚂We’re looking for three emerging women or minority gender musicians/producers based in #Yorkshire and the #Humber to compose and perform new electronic pieces celebrating the 200th anniversary of modern rail. 🧵1/2
Graphic featuring audio waveforms criss-crossing in a way suggestive of railway tracks, overlaid with text in a font reminiscent of 1970s British rail, and the logos for YSWN and PRS Foundation. The text says: Changing Gear, create new electronic music inspired by 200 years of rail. Apply now.

The Prime Minister imitating Enoch Powell’s ‘Rivers of Blood’ speech is sickening.

That speech fuelled decades of racism and division. Echoing it today is a disgrace. It adds to anti-migrant rhetoric that puts lives at risk.

Shame on you, Keir Starmer.

@longplayer live at the Roundhouse was very special today. First time seeing it live for me and it has added a whole new dimension to the work ⏳️❤️
Singing bowls arranged in 6 large concentric circles on tables and stands. Four performers play them. The audience listens

Maher Shalal Hash Baz, Bill Wells, Danielle Price and Linus Vandewolken were all brilliant at cafe oto tonight. After the gig I bought a sketch by Tori Kudo that, to me, looks like a cat (although he did not confirm that it is indeed a cat)
