I wrote this song on Saturday, recorded it yesterday and released it to you today in response to the state terror being visited on the city of Minneapolis. It’s dedicated to the people of Minneapolis, our innocent immigrant neighbors and in memory of Alex Pretti and Renee Good.

Yezid's latest ponder: A core feature of the far-right is its penchant for rupture, whipping up emotions it can harness for transgressive violence. I argue that comfortable certainties must be set aside, & ask:

How far might Israel’s far-right go? sayighyezid.substack.com/p/how-far-mi...
How far might Israel’s far-right go?
Everything that once seemed to be far-fetched should now be treated as probable, worldwide but also in Israel—including overturning parliamentary elections

A viable new Palestinian politics starts with 7 October
An updated narrative by Hamas of its 7 October attack sidesteps the question of what its concrete objectives were, but Palestinian politics requires an honest debate about exactly this.

Sisi threatens military intervention in Sudan if Egypt's "red lines" are breached. But can he follow through, since this means opposing the UAE, which is his main financial linchpin?

"Palestine 36" is not a film that Zionists will like, not least because they barely feature. ...As Jacir told The Guardian, “This film is for Palestinians. It’s our story that hasn’t been told.”

Hey Americans: These ICE maniacs, who clearly need lifetimes of therapy for whatever propels them into such brutality, are not staying focused on brown people and Palestinians and noncitizens forever.
I was back at 26 Federal Plaza today, where an ICE agent violently threw this bereft woman to the ground in front of her kids. She had not touched him. She did not pose any threat. She had to be taken to the hospital. (🎥: Elias Eliahu)
