Is NHSE forcing young people to detransition?
The minutes of a meeting, leaked to NWBylines, strongly indicate NHSE does not want the prescribing of puberty blockers at WellBN to continue

Gender-affirming care saves lives
1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.

It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.

It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

Transgender care saves lives.
Study In The Journal Of Pediatrics Finds Trans Youth Care Lowers Suicidality, Few Detransition
The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

The BBC was founded to “provide impartial news”. If it's going to be the UK's biggest media organisation, it has to do its job right.

🚨🚨 " The BBC is far from perfect but it remains the most trusted news source in the world. To live up to its promises, it needs more independence, not less. More secure funding, not less. It needs to be set free, not shackled; defended, not attacked." Great stuff by @chrischirp.bsky.social

38. Ordinary people have no idea how much progress we’ve made. Tell people at parties that UK carbon emissions in 2023 were at their lowest level since 1879, for example. Most developed economies are now reducing carbon emissions without lowering quality of life.

For those horrified by the increasing blatant anti-immigrant rhetoric, and who are able to, supporting Refugees at Home either financially or hosting refugees in your spare room while they find their feet (and accommodation) is one way to resist.

We are expecting our latest guest later today!

We’re holding an online information session next month with our friends at the Diocese of Sheffield and two of our hosts from the area.

I don’t miss Twitter in my real life, but I still feel its absence at tech events. Did we just stop telling speakers we enjoyed their talks, stop connecting with the people we cross paths with, and stop carrying on the conversation in digital space? I do miss that.

Politicians are using fear about trans+ people to distract from the systemic issues that actually harm women — underfunded services, economic and health inequalities, and male violence (predominantly perpetrated by men that women already know).

⚠️ Women in the UK don’t need to be told what danger looks like — we live it every day.

⛔ One woman is killed by a man every three days in this country (Femicide Census, 2023)

⛔ In 2023, 1.7 million women experienced domestic abuse (ONS, 2023).

It is not trans people who perpetrate these crimes.
