What’s in the *bird* box? 🪺 🐦

A colony of Daubenton’s #bats! 🦇

They don’t read the labels! Lots of bats using “bird” boxes.

Popped lid back on & left in peace. Monitoring under (bird & bat) licences.

Great news for a critical life force in #Norfolk - recognising the importance of the wonderful yet beleaguered River Wensum! 💙

Well done @greenpartynorwich.bsky.social & Norwich City Council 👏

Let’s hope some serious #conservation ACTION follows… 🤞💪

This is so deeply disappointing. I really despair. A dark day for the UK’s precious wildlife and habitats. We need to be urgently stepping up protections, not recklessly discarding them… 🦇 🌳

THANK GOODNESS! 😅 House of Lords debated Pt 3 of Planning & Infrastructure Bill today - voted in favour of amendment limiting EDPs to impacts like nutrient neutrality, air pollution etc i.e. NOT for protected species & habitats (which would have been disastrous & massive weakening of protections)… 🙌
