I appreciate how The Necromancer's Tale isn't afraid of exploring Christianity's constant need to convert, colonize and weaponize marginalised groups against their own people. Could have been another dark magic power fantasy narrative but it WENT THERE ♥️🥺

A saintly holy priest character would be more compelling if they gradually lost their faith but begrudgingly retained their powers to help the people hurt by their religion. Like sending angels out as attack dogs to wandering missionaries or something.

I think I'm just fatigued by the over centralization of boss fights in games ngl.

The best part of souls games has always been the exploration and atmosphere, but the "prepare to die" slogan was too good, so now everyone's gotta try to make the combat the centerpiece.
