I'm in the same boat!

I had a kernel of skepticism because a) I also really liked Jim Leonhard and b) hiring an air raid OC was a swing. But his reputation superseded that. And as bad as I thought it might go, I didn't think it would be THIS.

I think he had an incredible staff that he could entrust the details to while he managed vibes. Almost every direct decision he's made at Wisconsin has been a disaster.

So many signs of Fickell just winging it at Wisconsin:
Hiring an OC with a philosophy he had zero familiarity with, inconsistent gameday management, changing offensive and defensive philosophies and roster construction on the fly.

I have no idea how he had so much success at Cincy.
