The Winnipeg Jets beat the New York Islanders 5-2 and now have a winning 2-1-0 record to start the year.

This was a particularly fun one, with depth players like Morgan Barron, Nino Niederreiter, Tanner Pearson, and Logan Stanley all scoring.

I remember reading that the reason Ross Grimsley (then of the Expos) had such a quick downward spiral was that his fastball and offspeed pitch met in the mid-80s. No idea if it was true, but he faded fast.
