Recently, we signed an open letter to the Home Secretary about the Labour Party's plans to force people to demonstrate 'volunteering in their communities' in order to 'earn' indefinite leave to remain in the UK.

How did it begin? In Nov 2000, East London Citizens leaders found that one issue kept coming up again and again: low pay.
