"Popcorn" cave structure - it looks a bit like beans.

Bwahahaha maybe second favorite item in the store lol. I have one of those and a full size one in my house and they are appropriately hidden away from the eyes of any and all people and deities.

Oh, uhhhhhhhhh if you want one, you can get it at store.rustltd.com - or borrow mine I guess. I dunno. #marketing or whatever.

This mug is one of my favorite things that we sell on the #RUST store - the mythos of Jerry the Lemon is one of my most loved narratives in #H3VR - make sure to scream to the citric celestial after you drink your cup of lemon juice. That's what normal people enjoy in the morning, right? #IndieGames

Hey @travismcelroy.bsky.social ‬- you're in Cincy, right? Just wanted to let you know I just released the demo for my game, @dunderbeckgame.com, where you grind magical creatures into sausages in the mystical land of ✨Cincinnati, Ohio✨

If you have any interest, here's a link!

Cincinnati. Porkopolis. This city is a mess, Dunderbeck. Your job is to fight that mess, build with that mess and - I'm sorry to say - eat that mess. It's a dirty job, but that's how the sausage is ma...

(To anyone else that dabbles in #streaming and thinks that Dunderbeck might be a good fit, let me know! I would love to hang out and watch! It's so awesome seeing people play this weird little thing that I've been babying for what feels like forever haha)

Alternate view - I dunno where she found that missile...

I've been having a lot of fun playing with #legos lately - I made a magpie!

She just found a new shiny thing - oops! Look out!

With my birthday coming up, I'm reflecting on what I've learned and let go. My coding and art skills continue to grow, but my patience for web dev (once my focus) is fading. It's odd, realizing past me (who knew this stuff) is a different person. Still, I'm super happy I chose to lean into game dev.

Back around the turn of the century, the @cincinnatizoo.bsky.social was a whole other kind of wild.

In @dunderbeckgame.com, our zoo-inspired level probably won't have a "butcher's day" but it *will* have bonnacons.

For all of the joking about @dunderbeckgame.com being nominated for "Best in Simulation" at #TMG2025, it turns out the game may have been more simulation than I had thought (Taken from Greg Hand's book, "Cincinnati Curiosities")

#Cincinnati #GameDev #Worldbuilding #History #FactVsFiction
Book excerpt reading, "To demonstrate how intrinsically alien Cincinnati once was, let's drop in at the Palace Hotel on the night of Friday, December 12, 1890. On the menu is elephant steak. The Palace Hotel (today's Cincinnatian Hotel) has elephant steak on the menu because an elephant was executed by firing squad that morning at the Cincinnati Zoo. Hundreds of people watched. That pretty much summarizes Cincinnati in 1890."

Honestly, @shoepert.bsky.social's deadpan panning totally makes it.

I'd say the trailer is unique, gross, interesting, funny, and unique.

A streamer got a bit more than he bargained for when he played #ROCGameFest alum @dunderbeckgame.com for the first time. Check out his mini-review in the game’s new trailer!

After we demoed our game, Dunderbeck, a streamer gave us some "feedback" - we turned it into a trailer. It's #unique. And it (could be) #enjoyable! But it's also #disgusting and #gross...

Last month's dev sprint, surviving on artisanal rat sausages while locked in my basement? Just dialing in the #Dunderbeck SIMULATION EXPERIENCE. You know, because we were nominated for SIMULATION GAME.

Catch it LIVE at #TMG2025 in Philly this Thursday or JUST AS LIVE on stream!

Look at those silhouetted items! I'm really liking the way this is shaping up.

The almanac in @dunderbeckgame.com is a real important part of the gameplay and it's been neglected for too long. BUT NO MORE. YOU WILL BE PRETTY SOME DAY. And that day is today!

Heck yeah! The solution was just marinading overnight - that's awesome!

I just had another feel-good "Hey, I'm not a fraud!" #gamedev moment - spent the last hour rewriting a major system - but it was deeply entangled so I had to write it blind. Anyway, fast forward to now and it works!

What other sorts of "Look, ma! I'm a real dev!" moments have y'all had?

Gah nothing is better than racking your brain on how to illustrate something with an icon and then realizing you already made an entire icon set - not only for that one item, but for the whole problem space.

Thanks, past me - you're the best!
