Tried out the new wearable microphones this morning. Now waiting on the video to encode so I can actually open it and see how the sound turned out. This is the unfinished watercolor I was working on. Just detailing remains, but it needs to dry so the details don't feather. #art #BSKYArtist

The final piece. Not sure why I left this one tiny bit till last, but I did. The rest will need to sit and let oils and glues cure before I can assemble it. But it's more or less complete.

Trans pride Zaku from the Gundam Assemble series of minis !

It's was a really fun mini to paint, the sculpt is pretty great, despite some simplifications made to allow the model to be push fit (the gap between the cable and the legs isn't hollowed)

So I've been working on this since September and toying with the concept for longer than that. And despite all that time, it took until today to fully figure out the base. The flags need weathering and probably some vines of their own

Weathering is terrifying. I know I cant hurt a model with more paint. But it still takes time to fix a mistake & when Im so close to finishing, its nerve wracking. Anyway here's another progress shot despite saying I was done posting until this is finished

Oils took longer than expected to dry (don't they always) so I didn't get to weathering today, but I was able to eventually get a satin varnish on, as well as glue the torso to the legs and get a pin in the right arm so I can finish setting the pose

All over oil wash today. Although I ended up removing so much it did almost feel like id be further ahead to just panel line it. It did give everything just a little more definition though.

You can't see a huge difference in today's work, but I got a clear coat on to seal in the decals, primed the flags and darked down the scenery a little so there will be more contrast once I add the snow.

if you're wondering why I'm so cagey about my new job, it's because years ago I worked at a pediatric office in Texas, and someone contacted them to say I was tweeting HIPAA violations (I was not because I'm not stupid) and almost got me fired. I really like this job so far and I'm not gonna risk it
