Planning a new bus adventure for whichever day the rain stops. It will take me from the top of my street to Keswick in about 3 hours. I will get in the lake, go to the pub, and doze on the way back. Separates the women from the girls, does the 555.

Halloween stuff onto a good start, despite the weather. Had to spend this week's buying budget on comic supplies, bags, boards etc. Needed by just about everyone but boring.

Good stuff in at the moment and the new students are finding us. A man came in yesterday and said he appreciated seeing a shop like ours, that it was calming, so enjoyable to visit etc. Until his wife stormed in, telling him he didn't need anything and to put the 50p postcard back. Lady!! 😢

October and 5 months since I became fully self-employed. Summer figures were good, but autumn is slower and there's loads more to improve. The range of stock, the look of the place, etc. Today's the first day I closed the door and put the heater on. Knuckle-down time, Mrs B, you've been very lucky.
