I watched the I am number four movie as a fan of the books it also contains some of my thoughts on his dark materials the show because I watched that too and I was also a fan of the book series as well this is mainly just a rant about how much they messed up my babies

In summary:

Horrible pacing

They ruined the character's personalities

It makes no sense had my mom(she's never read the books) watch it with me and she understood nothing they/didn't explain most of what was going on

Do not watch the movie it is a disgrace read the book instead it's way better

Morning though I'm almost 100% certain His Dark Materials is slightly based off of Adam and Eve but I don't really pay attention to religious tones when I'm listening to audiobooks I mean I didn't even realize Narnia was religious

and couldn't get my hands on the copy of that very very last book that concludes the whole series but I'm hoping to one day

I would also recommend reading the entire His Dark Materials series before watching the shows because it's way better trust me you'll love it it's awesome

But if you can then yeah go ahead I mean I was like what 10-12 when I listen to these stories I absolutely adored them listen to them 100 times still haven't finished the whole series though as I was mainly rereading the first set of books I love that one

warning there is 16 + language in them not that much in the first set of books though it becomes a lot in the second series of books has a bit more 18 plus language in it okay a lot wouldn't recommend for young children or children that can't handle Gore or cursing a lot of cursing

They could have turned it into a show or they could have turned into a longer movie which would have fixed the pacing issue and I probably would have been more nicer to it but the pacing sucks it absolutely sucks I would not recommend this movie I would recommend the books they're way better

absolutely sucks and I feel like if they would have worked on that or instead of making into a movie turned it into a show it maybe would have been better slightly because then they could have worked more on showing who Sam, Sarah, and John were and why John cared for them

also why is six introduced so soon and why is she blonde her hair is always been described as gray and sometimes Platinum but never belonged as far as I seen/read also I will repeat this again because I absolutely hate it the pacing

I made my mom and brother who both never seen the series before watch this and they didn't understand why you care so much about Sarah or Sam cuz if anything they would just put in there more like background characters

Sarah a camera obsessed Outcast with a abusive ex-boyfriend who goes out with John for no reason other than she met him on the street once and John I don't know why he cares for Sam and Sarah like he met them both in totals three times and talk to Sarah twice so far he talked to Sam

without even actually reading the book to understand why the other parts were in there In short when it comes to what they did to the characters and their personalities they made Sam just seem like an in important background character who just popped up randomly

Was chubby in the book they also turned many of the characters blonde or some reason and change the name of John's/4 Guardian (forgot how to spell his name but it was a French name) they turned it into Henry, they also dumbed down John and turned Sarah into an a camera obsessed outcast

I recently discovered that I Am Number Four as a movie and I am so far 40 minutes in and that's a fan of the book series I have to say it's been kind of disappointing so far they flattened out and took away so many important details like Sam's glasses they've also made Sam skinny even though
