this is why despite technically not fitting into shadow's pitfall exactly, sonic heroes f8cks it up too. cuz despite four different teams and four different stories needing to 8e 8eaten for the last story to 8e unlocked, which sounds interesting and neat.

shadow tried to and failed to expand on the idea 8y making it seem like you had a choice, 8ut actually you just needed to play the f8cking game ten f8cking times to get the true ending. it's the same format 8ut with the worst execution.

ironically sonic actually did a 8etter form of that idea in sonic adventure. where you'd have the main story, side story, and may8e even sider story, and then when you 8eat all of them you got "true final real last story" which was a nice surprise that wraps everything up at the end.

i played nier automata and was like "damn i know at some point this is gonna get good" and then it didn't. then i had to play again as the twink. which was worse than when i was the girl. significantly worse.
