In BEFORE I FORGET by @toryhenwoodhoen, Cricket’s journey is incredibly relatable: a search for a way forward, a rediscovery of what’s meaningful, and a profound sense of purpose found in reconnecting with her dad.

OXFORD BLOOD by @rdavisfeatherstone.bsky.social is dark academia at its best. It's a high-stakes murder mystery, made even more fun with an ivy-clad school setting, a nefarious secret society, and a touch of Gossip Girl drama.

THIS STORY MIGHT SAVE YOUR LIFE by Tiffany Crum is a fun entry in the "thrillers about podcasters" subgenre. Benny and Joy are long-time friends (and maybe more?) who host a podcast about survival, but when Joy vanishes along with her husband, Benny must race to find her. #ewgc 💙 📚
The cover of This Story Might Save Your Life depicts several houses in what looks like a well off mountainous neighborhood.

In non-fiction I'm interested in WHEN TREES TESTIFY: SCIENCE, WISDOM, HISTORY, AND AMERICA’S BLACK BOTANICAL LEGACY by Beronda L. Montgomery. She was recently a Michigan State prof, so I'm partial. #ewgc #booksky
Book cover: Green foliage including fruit, leaves, and flowers, frame the title on a black background.

I just noticed (and downloaded) THE SUBTLE ART OF FOLDING SPACE by John Chu (4/2026), which apparently combines physics, generational trauma and dim sum. #ewgc #booksky
Book cover for"The Subtle Art of Folding Space" by John Chu which shows a futuristic scene with various levels of stackable bamboo steamer bowl used in dim sum restaurants. The top own has dumplings, the second as a mix of dumplings and something else, and the third has objects that look more like planets. Hands with chopsticks reach in from each side.

HOW TO GET AWAY WITH MURDER by Rebecca Philipson was an entertaining fast-paced read where a killer seems to emulating the advice given in a self-help book titled, yes, "How to Get Away with Murder." #ewgc 📚 💙
The cover of How to Get Away with Murder depicts a red book cover with the center seemingly burned away to reveal the book's title. A red blood spot appears just above the letter i in with.
