I law. Broker than the 10 commandments and even harder to follow. I curse a lot, particularly when watching OU football. Northerner Southern Lawyer.

I was against this damn thing, and I resent the dirty look I got when my kid asked how it happened:

“Snitches get stitches, son.”

Update: TNR is no longer acceptable in any filing unless the court requires it.
Marco Rubio ordered diplomats to return to using Times New Roman font in official communications, calling his predecessor's decision to adopt Calibri a “wasteful” diversity move
Rubio Stages Font Coup: Times New Roman Ousts Calibri
The secretary of state called it a "wasteful" diversity move, according to an internal department cable seen by Reuters.

This guy passed today in his sleep. 10 years old. Was running and playing like a kitten this morning. I’m at a total loss. The most affectionate cat you’d ever meet.

Well, that’s one way to avoid the “wahh we got snubbed” to “get blown out in bowl game” pipeline Domers.

BUT I did check to see how accurate it was for a point of law last week. It generated 11 citations. 8 didn’t exist. The other three not only didn’t contain the quoted language, they didn’t hold what ChatGPT said they did. And one was a real case in a federal court even though CGPT said it was state.
I’m extremely critical of LLMs in general, and specifically for creative work.

That said, ChatGPT was really helpful today when I had to replace a three-way light switch and I discovered that electrician spliced a black wire to a red somewhere in the walls so the common changed colors.

Power Football Conference schools tend to say they really want an “established” head coach when making a hire.

Looking at the P5 hires from 2021—so we have a complete four-year body of work—breaks down as follows:

How good is Citnetti at program building? Not only does he have Indiana in the playoffs in two years, he laid enough of a foundation at James Madison that IT’S in the playoffs.

I have a former friend—in fact, former roommate—who went on Fox News yesterday to complain about a survey his kid’s district sent out asking about the kid’s gender identity. Which had a “decline to answer” option.

Like I said, I have a former friend.

As someone who holds religious views that expose him to actual persecution, Christians claiming they’re being persecuted for being expected to live in society can eat my whole ass.

Lovely. We win our final four games, all but assuring a playoff ticket, and the news is about some bigoted asshole not doing her homework and getting someone suspended over it.

Regardless, the Bible isn’t empirical evidence of shit and calling people demonic in an essay isn’t ever going to lead to a good grade.
Here’s the TPUSA version of events at OU.

Not surprisingly, they lie about what happened — she wasn’t flunked for quoting the Bible; she never even quoted it — and accuse the instructor, whom they name, as being “mentally ill”

I didn’t think THAC0 was that hard? It was the d20 roll the character needed to hit someone with AC0–plate armor, IIRC. You added the armor class and any magic bonus from the weapon to the roll.
It's also blatantly ahistorical. You wanna know what D&D looked like before it was "woke"? Look up an old 1st edition ruleset that had separate rules for women characters and basically zero viable options to play anything but a human, and then try to understand what the fuck THAC0 was.
Even by the standards of anti-woke journalism this is lazy dreck. The first piece of "evidence" that older gamers are mad about wokeness is a random Reddit comment — that isn't a complaint about wokeness.

It’s so the football team has something to be proud of. Duh.
LSU is paying its previous football coach over $50 million NOT to coach there while likely guaranteeing Kiffin something approaching double that, all while having an academic hiring freeze and budget cuts across the board. What is the purpose of a university (rhetorical)?
SOURCES: Lane Kiffin is expected to accept LSU's offer to become the Tigers next head coach. Kiffin is set to meet with his Ole Miss team this morning at 9 AM CT. As we reported yesterday morning, LSU has been very confident it was going to land Kiffin. www.nytimes.com/athletic/684...

Alabama: “he gonna be available in the portal?”
Honestly asking if anyone seen a worse kicking season by an FBS Team?

ULM was 2 for 7 on FGs - lowest made FGs in all of FBS.
ULM was 21 for 25 on XPs - lowest made % in all of FBS.
