Before folks start comparing this to European autocracies, pause and ask why so many folks - Black and white - didn’t know about the Tulsa Race Massacre. Or the Wilmington Coup. Or the Colfax Massacre. Or the Elaine, Arkansas massacre.

Erasure has been a key tactic of white supremacy. Right here.
NEW: The removal of the DOJ’s Jan. 6 database signals the Trump administration’s intention to not only spare his supporters any further consequences for their role in the riot, but to erase the event from the record.

Seriously, so picturesque. My street is just piles of frozen grey snow mud.
Hmmm, that's not a snow squall. 😆

I can do this on my own, but I think crowd-sourcing might help. Quote copy, one thing you personally feel you can do to improve US society.
Drats. I'd love a way to play with friends.
So can I play with you or is it separate,
Really? I would never have thought to try it.
I will join @indivisible.org because no one showed up at my town hall protest on Wednesday.

Memory-Holing Jan. 6: What Happens When You Try to Make History Vanish?
The Trump administration’s decision to delete a DOJ database of cases against Capitol riot defendants places those who seek to preserve the historical record in direct opposition to their own…

Cool, ty, I just never want to confuse my intent. Sometimes if I word something the wrong way people don't take time to look at my posts that clearly show where I stand.
It's your turn @alexmata.bsky.social , and where is your wonderful fiancee?
Is Thomas Friedman on Bsky? His web page does not have a link, and he doesn't have a verified account.
Btw, seems like you thought I was arguing with you. I was not.

Let’s be clear.

The #trans community is NO danger to the public.

The overwhelming majority of all rapes are committed by cisgender men.

Countless studies and stats support this.

However, the rapist #FührerTrump IS a very present danger to the trans community.

The DHS has been the cornerstone for my research on global child mortality for over a decade. Its value is immeasurable. Stopping it would seriously limit our understanding of health around the world.
If it's true that future collection of Demographic and Health Survey (DHS) data "will cease," this would be a staggering loss to the global community. 1/6

Ofc. Not disagreeing, just pointing out it's a feature not flaw.
