Sounds to me like you take credit for mastering it, see that as a gift of learning, and then find something you enjoy doing instead. Life is too short for miserable knitting experiences.

Sometimes it just comes together and I love it. A variety of scraps that are turning into a hat I want to keep and not donate.

A hat in progress. Brim is made of a very soft chunky yarn in dark maroon with blue and brown elements. A multicolor yarn in matron and mustard and green and purple is held with a maroon yarn and a mustard yarn.

A friend gave me a scarf in progress. I couldn’t finish it because she knits tight and I knit loose. So I took it out and went up several needle sizes and made a drapey cowl instead.

Finally finished this shawl. The knitting was done last month. Finally took the few minutes to sew in 4 ends…. The i-cord bind off was so much work. I should have done the ends then but…
