What would it feel like to give your betas specific questions beyond grammar rather than a free for all. Like, does this scene make sense? Does this specific dialogue exchange sound in character? Perhaps easing into it with a few specific questions you might feel less sensitive about could help?

each day within each week has 1-2 "mini-prompts" which can either be embraced or ignored~

Ed watched the man's eyes flutter closed.
"Wel, well," he murmured. "What should I do with you now?".
Normally, that wouldn't even be a question. The Gentleman Pirate - "Bonnet",
according to Izzy - was severely injured. Gut wounds were a bitch, and it was
highly unlikely that he'd survive for more than a day or two. It would be a
kindness to quietly tip him overboard. Once the sharks scented blood in the
water, it would be over in a matter of seconds. With luck, he wouldn't even
wake up. All in all, a merciful death.
Well, we all know that isn't going to happen!
I always wondered how Stede ended up back on the Revenge after being gut-
stabbed. The most popular theory seems to be that Ed carried him there like a
Disney prince, so
