It strikes me that there are similarities between what happened at The Citadel to Sharon Faulkner, the first woman admitted after a court battle and to Rep Elect McBride. McBride is being tormented by Rep Nancy Mace, who is purportedly the first woman to eventually graduate from The Citadel.

Mace was the first female graduate from The Citadel. These were her classmates. Did she suffer similar brutal "hazing"? Her daddy was the Commandant so unlikely. My family has a later era Citadel grad. He said it was common knowledge that she was sheltered and protected, because of her daddy.
