My favorite migratory birds are warblers, and I love Hooded warblers. They're beautiful and relatively easy to observe compared to other warblers. Once, I even ran into a Hooded warbler that was standing right in front of me on the trail :)

A beautiful young Laughing gull calling. Probably not actually laughing given that its incessant calls for food went unanswered. Chasing mom around didn't help either. I think her message was, you can feed yourself now!
