Imagine if protesting was not actually a bank robbery, and that journalism was not a crime. Imagine if the people who were weaponizing the justice system to attack Trump's enemies took the constitution seriously rather than cooking their brains all day on social media.
Harmett Dhillion threatens Don Lemon: "Imagine you have a bank robbery that's being planned by a number of criminals ... and then a podcaster says, 'Let me embed myself in here and come along for the ride and livestream the crime.' That would not be protected by the 1st Amendment."

“I sit on a man's back choking him and making him carry me, and yet assure myself and others that I am sorry for him and wish to lighten his load by all means possible” —Leo Tolstoy
A CBS staffer told me this re: this Tony Dokoupil segment:

"What a self absorbed loser. Telling factory workers his job isn’t as easy as it looks. You’re a grown man who wears makeup on live TV from a teleprompter filled with words people write for you. His self absorption is just astounding."

I can't say this loudly enough: THEY ARE TRYING TO NORMALIZE THE KILLING OF CIVILIANS FOR PARTICIPATING IN FIRST AMENDMENT PROTECTED PROTEST ACTIVITIES.
Homan: "We gotta stop the hateful rhetoric. Saying this officer is a murderer is dangerous. It's just ridiculous. It's gonna infuriate people more which means there's gonna be more incidents like this."

In its attempt to profile Renee Good, the New York Times quotes Kristi Noem before describing the reaction from her wife and others who knew her. It tells the reader the position of an armed military force has more weight than an unarmed civilian dead because of it.
