I'm very happy to inform: the root source was (for whatever reason) the cable connecting to my monitor. hdmi worked fine with my work laptop and mouse but somehow not with my own stuff (basically same). switched to a new data cable and now it seems to be fine again? weird

now that I got a couple of things to work on, I really feel like I need to do some body doubling or co-working, I really miss that. that was honestly the only real benefit of university for me: working alongside other creatives and ping-pinging ideas, or just talking. makes working so much easier.
