Laver. J'étais prête à travailler comme hier, un peu moins courageuse certes. Mais mon organisme manquait de sucre, ce qui ne m'arrive que très rarement. Je vais être obligée de manger avant de sortir Lavia. Après, je compte bien m'y mettre sérieusement.
Les paysages d'automne ont toujours quelque chose de mystérieux. Cela est dû aux brouillards givrants.

Great Blue Heron wrestling with his lunch. He has a giant salamander - technically a two-toed amphiuma. This is one of the largest salamander species in the world and grows up to 3 feet long.

Zooming in, you can see 2 tiny legs on the salamander, which distinguishes it from Florida's other giant salamander, called a Siren.

Some winters, Snowy Owls come down from the arctic to the coast of the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State. Getting to them was a 4-mile hike through sand on a very cold, very rainy day, and so worth every step!
A Snowy Owl is perched on a large driftwood log surrounded by dried grass. The owl is white with brown speckles and bright yellow eyes. The owl is looking right into the camera, as if he's wondering why I'm grinning at him.

I'm going with the #BirdoftheDay alternative theme of #ducklings. These tiny babies are Fulvous Whistling Ducks. The parents were extremely protective - fiercely driving away any bird that approached.
