Another indigo bunting at Mass Audubon’s Habitat sanctuary. I think this is a non-breeding male because of the white/grey feathers—but not sure so let me know if you know.
A pack of blue jays harassing a crow. I didn’t see what started this altercation, but it ended when the crow ripped off of a piece of bunny roadkill in the street and flew off with it’s snack. #crows#bluejays#birds#bird#birding#birdwatching
A tiny brown creeper at Elm Bank Reservation in Wellesley. This little bird moved so far and I can see where it gets it’s name “creeping” up the side of trees. It reminded me of a nuthatch. Another lifer!
Moody American Robin in a graveyard. Most of the time I see a robin and think meh, it’s just a robin. But they are not shy for the camera and you have to respect the resting b**** face. Taken on a misty morning in Mount Auburn Cemetery.
Indigo Bunting at Stonehurst, the Robert Treat Paine (the one born in 1810, not the one that signed the Declaration of Independence) estate in Waltham, which is part of the Storer Conservation land.
