I was pleased to join Newstalk Breakfast yesterday morning to discuss home retrofitting and why we urgently need to remove the overly burdensome planning application process which is acting as a deterrent.

Retrofitting your home will save you money. Planning should not be required for home retrofits. I'm calling for:

1. an exemption on planning permission to retrofit homes
2. specific grants to encourage neighbours to retrofit together
