Deeply disappointing that this Government has dropped game-changing rail projects for the Midlands, South-East and Mid-West.

These new and reopened rail lines would have given thousands of workers a realistic, affordable commuting option.
They've done it again, they've cut more rail projects. The most criminal one for me is cancelling the reopening of the Waterford-Wexford/Rosslare line. On the left is the All-island Rail Review published by the last government and on the right is the plan published today.

Voters aren’t drifting. They’re deciding.

The old certainties are slipping. The centre is stalling. The big parties are losing ground.

And the Greens are moving from 1.9% to 5.1%.

This is what happens when people stop voting out of habit and start voting for change.

This latest report makes for quite difficult reading.

Trashing nature for decades and treating it like a commodity or inconvenience has left us with a once in a lifetime opportunity.

Minister O'Sullivan must take it with the Govt's upcoming Nature Restoration Plan.

My reaction to the 2025 Article 17 Report on the state of Ireland's habitats and species.

While some species are doing well, the overall state of habitats and freshwater ecosystems is not good.

Celebrating the derogation extension isn't a good look by govt.

What are the top three things we need to focus on to turn the tide on our rotting system?

-Housing
-Affordability
-Climate Action

A big thanks to the Coinnigh Clé- Keep Left campaign for having cross party discussion on the back of the success of the Connolly campaign.

Thanks to Olivia Ryan for covering the recent Dundalk Municipal District meeting where the Dundalk to Carlingford Greenway project was discussed.

I’d love to see our councillors visit one of Ireland’s more modern greenways in Tralee and speak with the people there to learn from their experiences.

Following reports that private landlords can increase rent for students outside of DoH caps, we are calling on Minister Lawless to publish his student accommodation strategy without delay.

Does the Minister's priorities lie with developers or with students?

The EU Commission has recommended a three-year extension of the Nitrates Derogation - but this must not be treated as business as usual.

Government must act now to properly fund farmers to protect water quality and secure a sustainable future for Irish agriculture.

The Galway Luas will be a key part of Galway Metropolitan Area Transport Strategy (GMATS) and must be added to it during the next review.

In the meantime, preferred route selection can be progressed - moving these plans closer to reality.

Absolutely none of which matters when motorists speed, play on their phones, drive drunk/drugged/tired, or simply believe they own the road.

My first email this morning is from a resident about motorists speeding through pedestrian lights near homes, schools, a church and a library.

It's constant.
👀 Can you see me now?

The importance of visibility on our roads cannot be understated, particularly for vulnerable road users including pedestrians, cyclists, e-scooter drivers and motorcyclists.
