Thanks to the Lord Mayor for joining us at St Brigid’s GAA GA GA Men’s Shed today to mark their one year anniversary. I was even persuaded to try a bit of handball!

One week since @greenpartyie.bsky.social members joined the National March for Climate Action ✊

As #COP30 negotiations are deadlocked without agreement, we need to keep the pressure on to ensure the Irish Government, the EU and world leaders commit to and deliver real, fair climate action.

☣️The Mercosur deal is poisonous - just look at this data below👇

The deal is being pushed by agro-chemical giants in Europe looking to export billions in pesticides to South America - Brazil is already approving record numbers of hazardous pesticides and increasing their usage.

I spoke at the Occupied Territories Bill protest this evening outside Leinster House.

Tomorrow we will vote on the joint motion calling for it to be progressed - with services.

We expect the motion to pass, but we need the Government to actually act on this vote and enact the Bill without delay.

This graph got quite some attention when it was shared online a number of months ago-but many were skeptical.

An interesting update today however; the NTA shared in Committee that these routes will be worked on in the early 2030s and potentially delivered sooner than the below plans.

Wishing Paschal the very best as he steps down as Minister and TD. He’s been a hugely consequential public representative, who has worked with diligence, integrity and always with a strong sense of personal kindness.
BREAKING: Minister for Finance Paschal Donohoe is to stand down today from his role in Government and take up a senior position at the World Bank.

🇵🇸No more delay on the Occupied Territories Bill

I was proud to stand today with other Leaders of Opposition Parties and Senator @francesblack1 to call on the Government to progress the Occupied Territories Bill.

It has been a year since FF and FG campaigned on this during the general election(1/2)

Talking to @rodericogorman.bsky.social at the national climate protest. Climate action is about protecting our future, but it's also about making our lives better today - warmer homes, lower bills, better public transport. @greenpartyie.bsky.social

I'm pleased to share that as of today, I will serve as the Chairperson of the Oireachtas Cross-Party Cancer Group - a group of TDs and Senators who work alongside the Irish Cancer Society to hear directly from cancer patients and fight to improve cancer services across the country (1/4)

The only chart that matters when it comes to housing —

Between 2019 and Q2 2025, planning permission for 329,637 units granted, but only 213,790 started.

There’s no issue with zoning, no issue with planning. They are just not being built — except 2024, then the new government crashed that.

Wishing President Connolly the very best as she embarks on her term of office.

Thank you for 14 years of deeply impactful service to our country.
Sometimes controversial, strongly opinionated, but never dull, Michael D Higgins' 14-year term as Uachtarán na hÉireann comes to an end this week after many historic moments that helped define modern-day Ireland
Activism, opinions were hallmarks of Higgins' presidency

BREAKING: Green Party councillors have walked out of Belfast City Council’s meeting after the Lord Mayor blocked a member from speaking on the Gaza genocide and refused a recess to resolve it. This is a clear overreach of the Mayor’s duty to act impartially.

It's been 3 months since I posed this question to the Min. for Health and HSE.

The climate emergency isn’t just about weather - it’s about lives.

And if we aren't measuring something, we can’t manage it.

IrishRail is to be commended for the extra services they have put on for big events recently - I think it shows that there is an appetite for intercity services beyond 8/9pm and later services on commuter routes too.

Here's their response on whether these later services could be made permanent

Congratulations to our President Elect Catherine Connolly. An incredible result achieved by thousands of volunteers from parties, independents & people active in politics for the first time.
