Nadim Zahawi arrived in the UK from Iraq as a child refugee. His family claimed asylum once they were here. Today he has joined Reform who will stop all in country asylum applications. Under his new party, his own family fleeing persecution would be immediately deported.

Great band. They appeared in my instagram feed and I have listened to their two released songs a lot. London band, sound like late 80s goth. No evidence of a gig yet, I look forward to a live show one day.

The last time I saw MBV in Manchester it was the summer of 2008 and my life was in a bad place. I was out on my own and felt very alone surrounded by people enjoying themselves. I think this was the only time I have felt like this at a gig.

I live in Beckenham, a leafy suburb of south east London, a place where David Bowie lived for several years.
Beckenham doesn’t have any decent kebab shops. I put this down to the fact that no one has yet had the vision to open one called “We Could Be Gyros”.
