Today’s prompt for Spacetober Challenge is Spacecraft. The NASA Space Shuttle was a spacecraft that launched like a rocket and landed like an airplane. It was the first reusable spacecraft capable of carrying large satellites and crew to orbit…🧵 1/2

I don't know if it's in there, but 'Babylon 5 at 20' is one of the best behind the scenes books I own, period.

This model of Thunderbird 2 shows the problems it has with objects.

Text is mangled up horribly.
Straight sharp edges get wobbles and bumps
Regular repeated elements get randomised.

Not usable, except maybe in the background. But who wants a million polygon background element?

Wow…seven years ago already. All space artists dream of exhibiting in a NASA art exhibition. To be approached directly by NASA for permission to exhibit one of my space paintings is on a completely different level of excitement and satisfaction. I still feel it now as I look back at these images.
