blackness and queerness is so complicated in some sense when you realize that race does matter when it comes to gender expression and identity.

people assume that I should be masculine/could pass well as a black trans guy but I don't care for any of that.

it's like I'm not allowed to be femme

black queers are unfortunately both excluded and boxed into stereotypes/expressions they are allowed and not allowed to have.

it's easier for my white brothers to Express their femme side slightly but I have to fight a lil harder cuz of blackness being hypermasculinized

rich and affluent people distanced themselves from culture so much that they adopt and appropriate random fucking thing they saw on netflix like the boondocks. i swear a lot of these kids who watch boondocks talk like black people and use aave terms without ever living as one.

Founding Statement:
The situation for trans people in Britain is critical. We face a barrage of billionaire bankrolled abuse in the media. We endure decades long waiting lists to access limited healthcare, with dehumanisation and pathologisation built in to the system.

In the job market, we are met with discrimination, lack of opportunity and stagnating pay. We are excluded from housing, healthcare, employment, leisure - now even our use of bathrooms is policed.

For trans people, today’s politics is exhausting. The major political parties have used and discarded us time and time again. Too often, exclusionary figures are embedded in leadership capacities, and even in progressive parties, those on the fringes can spew hatred unchallenged.

We say no more. This cannot happen in Your Party. The liberation of all marginalised people can only be achieved through their active and equal participation in class struggle; there can only be a precarious freedom for some under current conditions.
