Something I think about a lot is how much we shame parents who want to take care of their kids and also themselves. For example, this piece calls it "bad news for buff parents" when it could as easily be "barriers to healthy families"

Movies (like say the new HAND THAT ROCKS THE CRADLE) are more aware of parenting foibles/rules than ever before but for some reason absolutely NONE of them can depict the extremely common recommendation that under-1s sleep without blankets/pillows in a crib.
