Sometimes I know how super lucky I am to teach Environmental Science. Took 2 classes outside to see the spring growth on our school grounds. Here’s a nest in one of our trees.

Got to hang out at the High Line and The Little Island today with the STEM Club!

I just saw a pair of birds on the lower branches this morning, but I couldn’t see enough detail to ID them. The nest is made of twigs, so I figure some type of bird.

Just had this brilliant idea — a live stage version of The Breakfast Club. Main se is the Library, secondary set is the office. When the actors run through the halls of the school, they run through the house. Has this already been done?

I traveled to Japan this summer, and loved the food and the konbini (convenience stores, like 7-11). Today I bought fresh sushi & frozen gyoza at a new Japanese market near my job that gave off konbini vibes. 5 STARS!!

Found a new Japanese market in Astoria! Got some matcha Kit-Kats. Next time, I’ll check out the sushi. (Full disclosure: I would have tried the sushi today if I had not had a long subway ride ahead of me. Insulated bag next time!)
