Been a long road to where I am today at 74. Love gardening, brewing beer, growing weed, fungi forays, photographing nature, baking, and volunteering. My passions are to reduce food insecurity, find the most beautiful mushrooms, immerse in all the arts.

Spent 4 days with 100 of my favorite mycophiles in the forests of Pennsylvania. Altho quite dry, we found amazing fungi, food, beer, and fellowship. Bill Yule and Cathy Aime were amazing guest mycologists. And we identified over 200 different species.

Volunteering at the butterfly exhibit at a local garden brings me peace and clarity I can't find in the rest of the world. These lovely fragile beings remind me that all things deserve our respect, admiration and protection. Well, most things anyway...

The intersection of 2 of my favorite things. A tiny Coprinopsis stercorea (probably) in a pot with a Miltassis Kismet orchid, which has never bloomed for me 😢

On a cloudy cool day (much appreciated in August), we found a spot of bright orange glowing in the forest. Probably Cinnabar Polypore. Only 2-3 CMS across.

A short walk.
Today in my 'hood it was a sparkling 74* and saw so many mushrooms. Berkeley polypore, Ruby (??) bolete, Tubifera magna slime mold, and a lovely blue green russula. Even found some last of the season chanterelles
