The number of NYC drivers caught blocking bus stops dropped 40 percent after the MTA turned on their new bus-mounted automated enforcement cameras. @mbta.com expects to deploy similar technology this year.

As a Cape resident, the Sagamore and Bourne bridges both need to be tolled. It will add a negligible cost to living on the Cape, and if made dynamic, could really address the hours-long backups we get during the summer months.

An interstate bridge project in Portland OR more than doubled in cost from $7.5 billion (2022) to $17.7B in 2025.

Relatedly: the finance plan for @massdot.bsky.social's Sagamore Bridge replacement on Cape Cod is based on a $2.1B cost estimate from 2023.
