I've told Michael this before, but I really do think William of Newbury is his masterpiece. It's just a stunning piece of work and some of the most striking imagery I've ever seen in a comic. And I genuinely mean that.

Random thing I struggle with now that I mostly make kids comics:
I am very weirded out by being called "Mr. Smith". I don't know why, really. It just feels weird to me.
And kids try to be so respectful and call me Mr. Smith, which is so sweet, but also is just never not gonna be weird to me.

If I had a ton of money, I'd put on MattCon and it's just all the people I really admire in like a brewery/pub so I can sit around talking about nerdy stuff with them and then fans can come and meet them and find out how cool they all are and how good their work is.

Finally watched the first episode of Starfleet Academy and I get that there are quibbles like there are with any piece of entertainment, but c'mon, people... how can anyone say that isn't "Star Trek"?! That's pure Star Trek. And pretty joyous. Man, people need to unpucker their nostalgia butts.
