Too bad Bluesky doesn’t seem to periodically update those og image previews. I worked so hard on that one 😂 – but then posted without waiting for the Craft image transform queue job to be finished …

“I feel like web developers are constantly being gaslit into thinking that complex over-engineered solutions are the only option. […] That’s not good for users, and I don’t think it’s good for us either.”

It's funny, I didn't think I was gonna be as nervous publishing someone else's course as my own, but I'm sat here drafting launch emails and I've had a sudden *wave* of nerves.

I think it's because I know how good this thing really is and I'm so desperate for it to do well, mainly for @wil.to

Amit Sheen (@amitsheen.bsky.social) loves pushing the web platform to the limits, particularly when it comes to CSS.

He posts some fantastic demos and often follows them up with insightful, informative breakdowns.

His 3D layered text series on @css-tricks.bsky.social is fantastic.

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.

🤔 …

I haven’t really played around with if() yet, so maybe

light-dark() – just amazing for theming 😍

and the newer color functions in general, like

oklch()

especially when using them with the relative color syntax.

sin(), of course 😁

just kidding, it’s probably clamp() – although I also find myself using min() and max() more and more often

“The fact that copyrighted works aren’t eligible unless they’ve formally registered feels like a lawyerly dodge: a legal maneuver to help Anthropic reduce the size of its payout pool …”
