I was already proud of our work with @spacecitywx.bsky.social, but I’m just as proud of what we are doing here. In a crappy news landscape, we are just trying to be refreshingly boring, honest, and informative. Here’s to the next 10,000.
Proud to say that @theeyewallwx.bsky.social has crossed the 10,000 subscriber mark for our morning newsletter/posts. This includes the new audience we’ve added on SStack. Not bad for year 3! Exciting times for us and we look forward to continuing to serve our audience!
Update 2. Thriving.

How much taxpayer money gets spent on litigation because of unacceptable policies? Beyond just police. I have to imagine this is part of the reason people vote against tax increases for things like flood mitigation, transit, etc. This is a money pit outcome.

Glad to see accountability (in words) being taken by some that came to Houston to storm chase today and treated our roads with minimal concern for public safety. They may think they’re doing important work. But it ain’t that important.

We have an updated outlook for Wednesday’s travel! Doesn’t look awful, but there are a couple things to point out. Also, lake effect snow cranks later this week. We assess the chances of a strong blast of cold next week as well, and a handful of news too. Oh, and the tropics? Not totally dead.
Thanksgiving Wednesday travel may not be too bad, as we check out the lake effect snow this week, the tropics, and risk of Central & Eastern cold next week
Could we get legitimate cold? Or will the warm Gulf fight back?

I see a lot of Paidchecks on X didn’t realize that a whole lot of people on social media lie about their location to grift off the naïveté of the rage-addled American right.

Turns out this problem is real and it’s a thing those of us who worked on “disinformation” pointed out.

Total incompetence. It also shows the real decisions are being made behind the scenes while the “president” just nods along to whatever his circle hands him, probably because he’s even less capable of making decisions than they are.
