Dueling Breaths.

Acrylic on canvas.

Expressionistic oil painting in which red and orange along with black are the dominant colors. A long architectural structure of some sort, perhaps a longhouse or simply a lengthy wall enters view from the left of the frame and stretches off into the distance all the way across the frame to the right. The surface of the structure might be red brick or stone, and near the center of the frame the walled surface appears to open up into two ominous black-shadowed doorways. The doorways are framed by a thin red line that runs the length of the structure at its top, and by a thin red wall that separates them. The top of the structure appears to be engulfed jn orange flames, or perhaps the flames are behind the wall, on the other side. The sky above is streaked red, white and black with smoke and soot.
