I should probably mod my 360 at some point just to be safe, but at the moment I don't really think I have much reason to bother. I don't have enough games to need a drive bigger than 500GB, and FatXplorer lets me back up my digital games, so I should be good for a while.

Microsoft really didn't make it easy to upgrade the 360's hard drive. Why is it so locked down?

At least fans have made their own tools to get around the restrictions. Now I've got a 500GB SSD in mine. Hopefully it should be set for the long haul now.

Beat Splinter Cell Pandora Tomorrow last night.
Had to play the PS3 version, which is kind of jank, but I still enjoyed it.
It's clearly a quickly made game done at a budget, but at it's worst it's just more Splinter Cell, and I'm more than happy with that.

I don't mind. I enjoy your dives into random new hardware. It's interesting.

I haven't bothered with Threadripper. I'd love to, but can't justify the cost. Standard Ryzen is more than good enough for my needs.

Though I've heard you can get older used Threadrippers for a not to terrible price. Would be fun to play with.

Went to dry a load of cloths only to find out the dryer stopped working. :(

Turned out the belt broke.
Thank goodness for youtube videos of people repairing stuff. Managed to find someone with our exact model. Had the dryer fixed back up in a couple hours.

Here's the settings I use for H.265 when transcoding my bluray rips.

If you're using GPU encoding then it can cause them to be bigger. If you're trying to save space then you pretty much have to go CPU encoding. It takes longer, but usually is much smaller and higher quality.

How long will preorders be up? I want to grab that pin, but I need to wait for my next paycheck.

That redheaded Bowsette is so good!!
They're all great, but I especially love that one.

I use a GPU for transcoding on my Plex server. It's way better than using a CPU. Recently got an Arc A380 specifically for it. Not the best gaming GPU, but it's a powerhouse for video encoding.

With that much storage you could leave them as is straight off the disc. No need to transcode.

Though that doesn't solve the physical issues with ripping the discs. That process does get tedious, so I could see it causing pain issues.

Time to backup 4K blu-ray movies!

But yeah, fear of data loss is why I went with a redundant drive array and have a seperate backup drive as well. Even then I don't feel like I'm as safe as I'd like to be.

Been playing a lot of Lunacid lately.
If you're in the mood for a King's Field-like game it really hits the spot. The graphics and music are really striking too.

I didn't even know cards like that existed. I don't really have a use for one, but I now want one to play with.

Sucks to get sick at the end of a trip.
I just wanted to get home and be lazy, but I didn't want to be forced to stay in bed. :(

The only ASRock motherboard I ever owned had all of it's USB ports randomly die on me. Never used them again after that.
