I like basketball and building things. Currently working building sports communities on Bluesky with @nowfeeds.bsky.social

It's been a year on Bluesky for me and having complete control over what I see continues to be the best feature!

I just want sports news / commentary without all the doomerism. And I'm super grateful Bluesky allows users to have that control over their social media feed!
Still not over how Kansas moved the benches off screen and replaced them with advertisements. #kubball

Great list to shop for books this holiday season and support small book publishers!

A few I have my eye on:
Dead Red and Razor
Absolute Pleasure
Danielle Cain Series
You Must Take Part in Revolution

There was a request to include USWNT team coverage in the NWSL feed... so now you can follow both in one place!

Tap in to get real-time game updates for tonight's USWNT game against Italy and track all the breaking NWSL offseason news!

A thousand times this!

When I was young I did so much performative reading of books other people told me I should be reading.

I've rediscovered reading for fun and now I'm obsessed with a series about a guy and his ex-girlfriend's talking cat fighting monsters in a dungeon. This is the way.
I've just realised that reading more fiction books for fun has really helped with me being able to focus properly on reading other stuff.

I was just reading something that usually I would skim.

Instead I noticed I was taking time to understand it, sometimes, re-reading sentences.

Read fiction.

44 points and 16 steals in 28 minutes?! I've never seen a stat line like that. Going to need to watch a replay of these Hidalgo minutes.
Sixteen steals in 28 minutes 🤯

Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo set the Division 1 record for steals in a game in a 44-point night against Akron.

Ace Bailey is having himself a night and looks like he's having a lot of fun in the court tonight. Makes the draft drama look even sillier.

It continues to be refreshing how NBC takes time to make these regular season games feel like an event.

Kinda glad I don't have ESPN right now so I didn't have to watch that Eagles-Packers game.

Waking up every day to local news segments about how to access food to survive for a day shouldn't be normal. Genuinely dystopian stuff.

Doug Gottlieb gets a chance to even his career record against Nobody U this afternoon.

Who else is looking forward to the USC WBB game this afternoon? First real game of the season for USC against a NC State team that looked great against Tennessee a few days ago. Should be a fun watch! #wcbb #ncaaw

Once again Kansas football collapses in the 4th quarter and gives away another W. KU lost the lead by giving up 75+ yard drives late in the 4th. Just atrocious end of game mangement from the coaching staff. #kufball

Kansas looked every bit worthy as the #1 team last year through November and yeah... anyways hoping for the opposite kind of development this year #kubball

UNC is doing to Kansas what Kansas did to them in the second half of that 2022 title game #cbb

Looking like the non-Peterson minutes are going to be a struggle for Kansas this year #kubball

among them:

is the Big Ten's title drought about to end?

is the ACC on its way back?

the last ride for Cream Abdul-Jabbar

how badly will Doug Gottlieb suck?

Kansas did what they needed to do and won impressively tonight... but the 3 point shooting looks like it's still going to be a problem for the 3rd season in a row. #kubball

Darryn Peterson is going to get all the headlines, but Flory Bidunga has made some big improvements to his game on both ends of the court.

Darryn Peterson might be the most exciting recruit Bill Self has ever had. #kubball

Going to enjoy every moment of Kansas going belt to ass on Doug Gottlieb tonight.
