Nobody ever taught me about APIs.
I'd been "using" APIs since the start of my career, but it only clicked in year 2 when building a search filter component for an e-commerce platform.
Only then did I realise that I was requesting JSON data from a specific URL.

what I love about personal websites is how they are allowed to evolve organically without nonsense processes and sign off
I just removed a load of crap from mine that was no longer serving any purpose
and now the much needed redesign can begin (in iterations to make me feel something)
