I’ve always hated roasts. I’m of the age where they became all the rage with the Dean Martin roasts. I was a painfully shy kid because I was being sexually abused, so I got made fun of relentlessly in school. I’m 62 and if someone thinks they are playfully ‘joshing’ me, they aren’t. It still hurts.
