Will this satisfy the crofters and farmers? There were no lamb or Shetland foal bones in the nests. No evidence at all that the sea eagles have taken livestock.
Amazing how humans think they have the right to demand the removal of a species.

No evidence of farmer's missing Shetland ponies found in eagle nests
Five Shetland pony foals disappeared from a farm in South Uist between May and June, with the owner raising concerns that the birds of prey could be responsible.

Obviously rabies vaccines don't cause doggy autism, but also, and I mean this in the most complimentary way possible: dogs are already pretty autistic
Like oh no will my dog hyperfixate on a toy? Will he become upset when his routine is disrupted? What if he gets agitated by loud noises or crowds?!

So crofters, who offer pony interaction as a tourist attraction, are calling for a cull of sea eagles if they are proven to be the culprits.
Which is the biggest tourist draw? Sea eagles or ponies?

Probe launched after 'sea eagles' linked to disappearance of Shetland pony foals
Farmers hope an investigation by wildlife agency NatureScot will tell them if sea eagles are behind the disappearance of five Shetland pony foals…

Why, you might ask, do the BBC and Sky News, casting their editorial guidelines to the wind, keep giving massive airtime to the far right, while shutting out leftwing voices? Don't their bosses understand the likely consequences?
Only one explanation now remains.
They do.
And it is what they want.

Yes, I hold strong opinions & call things out. Not out of bitterness. I criticise practices, not people. I reject complicity. What I will always do is amplify individuals with care, craft, & conscience. That’s the line I walk & I walk it on purpose. We need better. I believe we can build it.
Over the last year, our poetry community has felt stretched — across platforms, across conversations, across loyalties.
At The Broken Spine, we’ve chosen to focus on care, consistency, and connection. Here’s how we’re holding space on Bluesky ⬇️
