I have been working on the cover for vol 2 of my comic Ilworld. I may just need to make some slight adjustments. Vol 1 has been out for years. I really am working hard to get vol 2 printed this year. I have been cleaning up old pages for print, making color adjustments, etc...

The original concept was inspired by Sweeney Todd and monster movies. I studied Invader Zim for the style. For the setting I drew refrence from Gravity Falls. Tonally I wanted the spirit of Courage the Cowardly Dog.

And I always pulled from real life politics for the comedy and drama πŸ˜‰ #webcomic

I really want keychains, I'm just too lazy to design them 😭

I also like the idea of lenticular cards/prints. I got a square print of my Colin and Lenore Halloween/Christmas illustration just for myself and I love it. But once again I'm too lazy to make more designs.

Victor comes from old money and goes from living in a massive estate to a humble home in the middle of a cemetery. Money isn't something he cares about but that's probably because his Dad has got him covered. (I like to call him a nepobaby)

Tass a woman with tan skin and long purple curly hair stands outside the Crow and Lyre on a street softly lit by a lantern. She wears a white collared shirt with ruffled cuffs and a purple bodice. Next to her on the right is Vale a man with light skin, elf ears and long dark straight hair, he has a large sword on his back, a white shirt with a collar opened over the chest and a long coat with the collar pulled up. Tass rests her hand on his shoulder as she says "I could say the same for you". Vale looked unamused and a maybe a little sad as Tass moves away up the stairs to the bar, he says "I'm not the one who committed a crime. Several likely." Tass pauses, arms folder, looking over her shoulder, "Allegedly. You have my alibi." She turns, resting her chin in her hand as she tilts her head to regard him. Vale snaps back, "And it's shit, you can do better." A six panel comic page, in the top wide panel we see Vale, a man with elf ears, long hair, a long coat and sword on his back stands with his hands in his pocket on the sidewalk outside the Crow and Lyre tavern, looking up at Tass. Tass stands on a step higher than Vale, arms crossed over her bodice style top as she looks down at Vale, she has curly hair. In the next panel Tass has stepped down the stairs and slides a hand onto Vale's shoulder saying 'well detective, what next then?' her other arms rests on his shoulder as she continues to speak 'are you going to arrest me?' she slides her hand up to rest against the side of his face, 'or kiss me?' Vale seems to be hesitant to touch her, his hands hover near her waist, 'are those my only options?' he asks. Tass moves in closer, 'at present, yes.' Vale leans in a pulls Tass into a kiss, it gets a bit heavier before Tass pulls away, her hands tangled in his hair, their foreheads touch, out of breath. Tass says "follow me." Tass' grabs the door handle with one hand and holds Vale's with the other, "And if you make any noise, I *will* change my mind."

there's really no bigger compliment than hearing "this made me want to draw" in response to someone seeing your art.

whether it be someone who already draws and wants to put more time into it, someone coming out of art block, someone starting their art journey, etc. it's the most moving compliment

The cursed creature prejudice also affects other characters.

Frank isn't actually a cursed creature but since a mad scientist created him and his appearance shows it, people definitely talk about him. Frank copes by taking everything in stride. (3/3)

Some Pleasant Folk suspected he was cursed. There were rumors about the other side of his face so some called him "The Corpse Kid".

Colin tried to be normal but he internalized all this and didn't handle it well. First comes tragedy. Then comes Victor Entrails. (2/3)

Cursed Creatures are tolerated but not welcome in the Pleasant Oaks community. Colin was born with a curse, and his parents try and hide it. His mother loves him but her prejudice doesn't go away, so she's afraid he'll turn into a monster. She's also afraid to touch him. (1/3)
