It’s a predictive text engine, lads. It’s vomiting up the statistical probabilities of a billion stolen blog posts and 10 million pieces of fiction. We’ve been writing about therapy, the nature of self, and introspection forever. Of course it sounds real. Humans are good at producing narratives.

32 states have supreme court elections this year, and two have crucial ballot measures that could change how the states pick their judges.

Read more @slate.com about about the judicial races I'm watching closely this year:

Uh, yeah. When you don't pay your storage bill they will take your stuff, no matter if its your archive or whatever else you might have in there. I wasn't sure if we were supposed to be surprised learning that could happen reading this or what.
Years ago, artist Damien Davis couldn’t afford the payment on a storage unit in Brooklyn, where he had been keeping his work. The unit was auctioned off without warning, and one year later, he discovered that his art was being sold online by someone else.
When Artists Lose Their Archives
I couldn't afford my storage unit anymore. After it was auctioned off, I found out that parts of my lost work were being sold online.

Yes, but also that people need this spelled out for them makes me worry about, well, everything.

Still glad I rerouted our flight first thing because this makes no damn sense and it seems like the administration is particularly up to no good down there right now.

A few of you have told me that the restriction has been lifted; so thank you! But, frankly, I'm staying the hell away. G-d knows what this administration is doing, and if they're dicking around with El Paso I don't want to take my chances.
anyway, i'm not sure what to make of this el paso thing

What you get when you go to the FAA website to look at whatever the New Orleans restriction is....

You get the spinning wheel of death.

The Delta agent: "Wow; you're on top of stuff, because you're literally just the second person I've talked to about this this morning!" She actually had to read the news when talking with the first person because Delta hadn't even gotten an official notification of the airport closure.
