No one could have predicted 25 years ago that Wikipedia would grow into the backbone of knowledge on the internet it is today, powering search engines, voice assistants, and generative AI tools. 🧵⬇️ (1/3)

Duh! Why are we still comparing Apple's tablets and Microsoft tablets? MS gave up on mobile devices long time ago. Their return to "Desktop Apps" signifies that from UWP apps. MS basically gave up on consumer products; can't let WinOS go. Their so-called tablets are glorified PCs for desktop apps.
Surface Pro is great, but the iPad Air fits how I actually use a tablet
I cover Microsoft devices every day, but when I want a true tablet, the iPad Air still feels better in hand than the Surface Pro.

The Voith-Schneider Propeller is a vertical-axis marine drive whose spinning blades change pitch continuously, letting a ship generate instant thrust in any direction, like a helicopter rotor underwater. Super-maneuverable, perfect for tugs and ferries.

Still don't get why #Microsoft is forcing these AI Apps (Calendar, Files and People) on consumers. They are corporate Apps; you can't use them without a Corp account. Yet, you can't uninstall them, you can't disable them from AutoStart, MS just re-enable them with next reboot. This is crazy MS!

The regime has named the illegal, fascist occupation of New Orleans by ICE and CBP "Catahoula Crunch". Activists bought the domain name & it now directs people to local & national resources for those directly dealing with this daily terror.

Americans have been dragged, tackled, beaten, tased and shot by immigration agents.

They’ve had their necks kneeled on.

They’ve been held outside in the rain while in their underwear.

At least three citizens were pregnant when agents detained them.

The government does not track how often immigration agents grab citizens. So ProPublica did. Our tally — almost certainly incomplete — includes people who were held for days without a lawyer. And near...
