Freezing child care funding based on rumors and a YouTube video is reckless and illegal. Fraud should be investigated and prosecuted, but punishing families, threatening providers, and targeting entire communities is wrong. Children deserve care. Parents deserve stability. 1/

I’m proud of the work we accomplished during my first year serving the first—and best—state in the Union in Congress. This year was about delivering for Delaware while defending our values and ensuring our neighbors got the support they needed.

2/ It wouldn’t have happened without the continued advocacy of Delawareans and people across the country who spoke out—momentum that pushed a handful of my Republicans colleagues to join us in doing the right thing. Now the Senate needs to take action to extend the ACA tax credits immediately.
